2012-2013 Career Smart HR EXCELLENCE AWARD

Middle Georgia is pleased to announce our partnership with Career Smart, one of
Middle Georgia’s premiere employment agencies specializing in retention
replacements, connections, technical, and managerial positions.
Much like SHRM Middle Georgia, Career Smart is dedicated to achieving
excellence through both advancing and serving the profession, which makes them
an ideal match for this important initiative.
Recognized
as the leading independent, internationally recognized certifying body for the
Human Resources Profession, the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI)
requires professionals to demonstrate their expertise in the core principles of
HR practice. SHRM Middle Georgia
highly encourages its members to seek professional certification through HRCI to
further demonstrate their expertise while both serving and advancing the
profession.
In support
of the chapter's tradition of excellence, we are pleased to announce the Career
Smart HR Excellence Award, which will provide a $300 scholarship to a member
that best demonstrates their commitment to excellence in advancing and serving
the HR profession through certification. For information on how to prepare and
register for certification, please visit the Human Resources Certification
Institute (HRCI) at "http://www.hrci.org.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be current SHRM Middle Georgia
members.
- Applicants must have attended at least 75% of
the chapter's monthly meetings.
- Applicants must be seeking PHR, SPHR or GPHR
certification through the Human Resources Certification Institute to qualify
for consideration.
- Applications must be submitted to President or
to Secretary by August 1, 2012
- SHRM Board will vote on applications at August 14, 2012 Board Meeting
- Winning name(s) will be announced at August
28, 2012 general meeting
- Deadline to submit application and fee to HRCI
is October 5, 2012
- Exam window for PHR/SPHR is January 31, 2013
